National Seed Science
Distance Education Program

Department of Soil and Crop Sciences
Continuation Plans

Since a part of this proposal is to establish a National Seed Science Distance Education Program, the commitment to this program is beyond the end of the grant period. Part of the tuition funds generated from student enrollment will be used to upgrade and keep current existing courses. Because of the long term intent in Seed Science education by the Cooperative Regional Research Project W-168 through the National Seed Science Distance Education Steering Committee and the Crop Science Society of America, Div. C-4 Seed Physiology, Production and Technology, there is sufficient national interest and concern for this project that a commitment to the project is projected far beyond the end of the grant.

Department heads and college administrators are supportive and committed to this unique and innovative approach to meeting the needs of students interested in seed science information.
